I went green once before

October 10, 2008

The green cloth of the current still life drawing is one I’ve used before.  In this picture I shoved the flowers off to one side.  The objects in this still life all seem to have enough solidity to make them really citizens of the still life.  And each one has a little bit of turf carved out.  I don’t envision that bowl ever infringing the territory of the vase.

I like both the painting and the paragraph.

Ok, I’m ready for the next painting please. Let that bowl chew out a great section of turf for her/him self.

  3. That bowl has been very well behaved. But thank you for your kind impatience. More stuff on the way!

Gorgeous color and texture. What kind of paint are you using?

  5. India,

Thank you for your kind words. The medium is oil paint — probably Winsor Newton.
